The Sacred Heart Knights were proud to support the 2017 Sacred Heart Parish and Academy Baby Blanket Marathon. The Knights donated over 150 yards of fleece to the 12 hour long project.
During the the marathon kids from Sacred Heart Academy create hundreds fleece blankets which are all donated to HELP Pregnancy Crisis Aid. They also spend time praying for the women facing a difficult decision with an unplanned pregnancy. HELP distributes blankets to families with babies who need to stay warm during the cold Michigan winters.
All the kids need to get supporters to sponsor their work. The money collected from sponsors is used to help pay for their trip to the 2017 March for life in Washington DC. This is the second year for the Sacred Heart Parish trip to the March for Life.
The Sacred Heart Knights are committed to pro-life projects which not only support the pro-life cause, but also supports moms and babies after the mom chooses life. This past fall the Sacred Heart Knights completed their 11th Baby Bottle Boomerang. In Spring the Sacred Heart Knights collect diapers and other baby supplies in the Thank You Mom for Life campaign.
