Father Michael Goodwin
Congratulations to Father Michael Goodwin who has been supported through our council’s RSVP program since 2016. On Saturday, June 6, Father Michael Goodwin and two other men were ordained our diocese’s newest priests by Bishop David Walkowiak at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew. Our council has been blessed to know and support you throughout your journey to the priesthood.
Masculinity In Today’s World
The Sacred Heart Knights of Columbus have been reviewing “The Virtue of Masculinity” by Dr Tim Gray at our recent monthly meetings. We feel that this topic is so important in today’s world that we are inviting all the men of Sacred Heart parish to join the Knights when Father Ron addresses us on this topic, Monday, May 11th. The meeting will be held virtually. Contact [email protected] for an invitation.
The Knights of Columbus supreme council has also provided a Lenten resource which addresses what it means to be a man in today’s world. Into The Breach is a new 12-episode online video series to help men prepare for Easter. Watch and share the episodes now!
2020 Free Throw Championship
The Sacred Heart Knights of Columbus council #13641 2020 Free Throw Championship was held on Thursday, January 9th.

15th Annual Baby Bottle Boomerang Results
Through the generosity of Sacred Heart parishioners, the Knights were able to donate $2,500 to HELP Pregnancy Crisis Aid from the 2019 campaign. Thank you to all those who participated.

All Saints Party
The Sacred Heart Knights are proud to support the 2019 Sacred Heart All Saints party by helping to collect candy and supplying hot dogs for the pot luck dinner. Please register here so that we will have enough food and candy available for all the guests.
13th Annual Keep Christ in Christmas Competition
Our council’s 13th annual Keep Christ in Christmas card contest for kids was a great success with over 150 entries. You can see our winners and their cards here.

2019 Essay Contest
The Sacred Heart council received an update from our state council stating that Sam Blouw, Gianna Dugan and Liam Regan had all been recognized at the diocese and state levels and were being entered in the Knights’ international essay contest finals. Congratulations to our council winners as they move on to the higher level competition.
The Sacred Heart council is proud to announce the winners of our council Knights of Columbus Catholic Citizenship Essay Contest:
- 8th grade – Perpetua Phelps
- 9th grade – Sam Blouw
- 10th grade – Gianna Dugan
- 11th grade – Liam Regan
These winners were selected from 80 entries. The council contest is part of the essay contest sponsored by the Supreme Knights of Columbus. The Sacred Heart winners the move on to the diocese and state competitions. Winners at the state level are entered in the international level competition.
