Sacred Heart Academy March For Life Trip

The Sacred Heart Knights of Columbus are proud to help sponsor the Sacred Heart Academy trip to Washington DC for the 2016 March for Life.

The Knights provided over 75 yards of fleece used to the baby blanket marathon. The marathon made over 300 baby blankets which were donated to Help Pregnancy Crisis Aid on Bridge street.

The Knights also provided monetary assistance to students and staff to help defray the cost of transportation to and lodging in Washington DC.

During the trip, the students will attend Mass at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. At more than 77,000 square feet, the Shrine is the largest Catholic Church in the United States, and ranks among the largest in the world. The Knights of Columbus order hasĀ supported this shrine over the years by providing funds for the Knight’s Tower, 56 carillon bells and the incarnation dome.

We will try to provide daily picture updates from Knights who are travelling with the students, students and staff members. Click the i on the top left for more information.
