The Sacred Heart Knights of Columbus are proud to announce our fourth annual Thank You Mom campaign. The Knights collect diapers and other baby goods for HELP Pregnancy Crisis Aid and the mom’s and babies supported there. The Knights feel that it is important to not only support babies in the womb, but also during the early critical development years. We commend the moms who chose life for their babies knowing that caring for their babies could be challenging.
HELP Pregnancy is located in our community at 705 Bridge Street NW. They are an organization which supports moms before their babies birth and after the birth during the critical years of the babies development. HELP offers peer counseling to help address the physical, emotional and spiritual issues that accompany parenting. HELP offers training, support and resources to help moms find meaningful employment to help support their families. Through support of donations, HELP assists with the material support necessary to meet the basic needs of mother and child during the critical development years.
The Sacred Heart Knights of Columbus Thank You Mom campaigns have collected over 10,000 diapers to support HELP. This year we will start our drive on April 14th. Our drive will complete on Mothers Day weekend, May 13th. Please consider helping the Knights support HELP by donating baby supplies listed here at the collection area in the back of church near the confessional. If you are too busy to shop for these items, you can also help by dropping a cash donation in the weekend collections in an envelope clearly marked with Knight of Columbus – Thank You Mom Donation. The Knights will use all cash donations to this program to purchase supplies on the attached list.
As part of this campaign, we not only support the new moms at HELP, but also salute our moms who chose life for all of us and supported us throughout our lives. On Mothers Day weekend, the Knights will provide all the mothers of our parish with a small present to thank them for their choices and support. Please watch for the Knights after all Masses.
