2020/2021 Catholic Citizenship Essay Contest

The Sacred Heart Knights were proud to sponsor the council competition in the Catholic Citizenship Essay contest. The Catholic Citizenship essay contest is sponsored by the supreme Knights of Columbus and includes council, District, state and international levels. This year’s topic was Faith in Action. This year we had over 40 entries from the five grades in our council competition. Entries were judged by a team of Knights and teacher including Head Master Sean Maltbie, Zach Good, Tim Walsh, Joshua Gregor and Gannon Hyland. Winners and runner ups in each category received a certificate and gift card to Schulers Books.

Five of our council winners will advance to this year’s district competition. Last year, three winners from our council #13641 competition were selected as winners at the diocese and state levels and moved on to compete in the international division of this competition .
