Keep Christ in Christmas

The Sacred Heart Knights of Columbus were proud to sponsor the 10th annual Keep Christ in Christmas card design contest at the Lesson and Carols advent concert on December 15th.

In addition to announcing the winners of the 10th annual contest, the Knights presented a check for $500 to the Sacred Heart Academy art teachers in recognition of their help with this year’s competition. The Knights planned to donate $250 art department. The councils chaplain, Father Sirico, wanted to match the Knights donation. The Knights presented a check for $500 to Laurel Dugan, Cheri Phelps and Simone Lunt (see picture below).

The purpose of the Keep Christ in Christmas contest is to remind all that come in contact with the the contest why we celebrate this holy and blessed season. Winning cards from prior years are used to generate Christmas cards for Sacred Heart home bound parishioners and remind them that the Knights and parish are praying for them even more during this season.

The following students were selected from over 140 entries  as winners by a panel of Knights;

9th through 12th grade runner up – Olivia Jepsen

9th through 12th grade runner up – Clare Marie Lindgren

9th through 12th grade winner – Grace Morin

We are proud of all the students who entered the 10th annual competition. A few of the judges favorites are shown below.
