Sacred Heart Academy, the Sacred Heart Knights of Columbus, Altar Rosary Society and parishioners of Sacred Heart collaborated to brighten Christmas for local families in need with the 3rd annual Christmas Market. The Knights of Columbus started to provide relief to persecuted Christians from the Middle East in August 2014. Until recently, many people were ignoring the issue. A CNN story posted on in late February stated that the Christian population in Iraq which was approximately 1.5 million a decade ago has dropped to less than 150,000. As more Christians leave everything behind and flee for their lives the Knights are there providing relief. Click here to find out more and see what you can do to help.
Before the Holy Cross Services Haven closed, the Sacred Heart Knights of Columbus prepared hot breakfasts for the boys housed on the northeast side of Grand Rapids. Follow this link to find out more.
The Sacred Heart Knights of Columbus are working with Sacred Heart Academy to sponsor a council essay contest which is associated with the Knight’s Catholic Citizenship Essay Contest. The essay theme is “The Importance of Religious Freedom.” The contest is open to all Catholic students from grade 6 – 12 in the Sacred Heart Parish area.

On the feast of All Souls, the Sacred Heart Knights delivered the proceeds from the 2015 Baby Bottle Boomerang to Help Pregnancy Crisis Aid. See the details here.
The Sacred Heart Knights of Columbus and Sacred Heart Academy worked together to collect donations for the Thank You Mom For Life Campaign. We were proud to deliver over 2600 diapers, formula, blankets and a pack-n-play to Help Pregnancy Crisis Aid. The Knights and Academy are proud to be helping struggling moms who chose life.
