Sacred Heart Helps Mentally Impaired
The Sacred Heart Knights of Columbus Council #13641 along with hundreds of other councils across the state held their spring Mentally Impaired Tootsie Roll drive on the weekend of March 26 – 28. We would like to thank all the parishioners of Sacred Heart and patrons of Putt Putts who supported us with their donations. Through their generous support we were able to collect over $1200. This total is more than two times the 2020 total. These donations will be distributed to Saint Francis Camp on the Lake and the local chapter of Michigan Special Olympics. We also want to thank all the Knights who gave their time to help this worthy cause.
15th Annual Baby Bottle Boomerang Results
Through the generosity of Sacred Heart parishioners, the Knights were able to donate $2,500 to HELP Pregnancy Crisis Aid from the 2019 campaign. Thank you to all those who participated.

2019 Essay Contest
The Sacred Heart council received an update from our state council stating that Sam Blouw, Gianna Dugan and Liam Regan had all been recognized at the diocese and state levels and were being entered in the Knights’ international essay contest finals. Congratulations to our council winners as they move on to the higher level competition.
The Sacred Heart council is proud to announce the winners of our council Knights of Columbus Catholic Citizenship Essay Contest:
- 8th grade – Perpetua Phelps
- 9th grade – Sam Blouw
- 10th grade – Gianna Dugan
- 11th grade – Liam Regan
These winners were selected from 80 entries. The council contest is part of the essay contest sponsored by the Supreme Knights of Columbus. The Sacred Heart winners the move on to the diocese and state competitions. Winners at the state level are entered in the international level competition.

2019 Soccer Challenge
Please Pray for Our Bishops
As bishops from around the world meet with Pope Francis, the Knights of Columbus will begin the Novena for Repentance, Renewal and Rebuilding. The bishops meeting will run from February 21 – 24 to discuss the sexual abuse crisis. The Knights of Columbus ask all Catholics to join us as we embark on this nine day novena of prayer for the success of this landmark Vatican meeting. Please see attached novena prayer card for prayers for each of the nine days.
2019 Free Throw Championship
Our council Free Throw Championship was held on Tuesday, January 15th following the completion of benediction. Pictures and results are available here.
Christmas Market Family Shopping Trip
This year the Sacred Heart Knights of Columbus sponsored a shopping trip to purchase toys for the Sacred Heart Christmas Market. We also took all of our shoppers out for pizza after shopping. Pictures and more details are available here.
Keep Christ in Christmas Card Sales
Thank you to everyone who purchased cards from the Sacred Heart Knights Keep Christ in Christmas cards sales. With your help we were able to raise $1000 to help the Sacred Heart Academy art programs. Winning designs from our previous eleven Keep Christ in Christmas contests are used to create cards which help you wish friends and family a very Merry Christmas.
2018 Sacred Heart Christmas Market
The Sacred Heart sixth annual Christmas Market helped more than 40 families with over 150 kids purchase new toys at greatly reduced prices. Check out pictures and more details here.
